Ordering Information

As of 2005 I have cut back my tack making to part time and, in general,  my books are closed to custom orders.  However please feel free to contact me if there is something in particular that you would like.  Even if I cannot take your order I do keep track of specific sizes and colors of tack that people are interested in purchasing so that I know where to direct my efforts when I am deciding what to make each week.  I will just no longer be taking a waiting list years in advance as my family is now my first priority and I'd like to keep the fewest deadlines as possible in my life.   I can often easily work smaller custom items such as a bridle or saddle pad into my schedule.   I will be working during this time at my own pace and listing as many finished items as possible on various auction and model horse sales sites for the general public.

At this point in time I am only accepting orders via email at [email protected]  Please make sure to include what leather color you would like, what horse the item is to fit and any other specifics such as trim and bit choices when emailing for a correct price quote and time estimate.

Shipping Information

Within the US:
I ship via USPS mail.  I always include delivery confirmation on all packages and insurance on packages with a value of $10.00 or greater. I also require insurance on any items paid for with Paypal.  In general, shipping costs between $5.00 and $12.00.  The higher the value of your order the higher the shipping cost will be since insurance cost will increase.  I ship in my own special ordered crush proof boxes and recommend that you keep your box for tack storage and in case you ever need to ship your tack again in the future.

Overseas:
I require insurance on all packages leaving the US and shipping charges will be the exact cost of shipping plus $1.00 for the box. I declare full value of every item that I ship.  There is a $10.00 fee on all orders under $250.00 shipping internationally. This fee covers the extra time that it takes me to go to the post office for shipping estimates, fill out annoying forms and the added hassle involved in filing an international insurance claim if something happens to your item in transit (not fun).  Please note that some countries such as Australia and the UK can run as much as $30.00 to ship a very small box since the only way that I can insure the package is by having it sent via air mail.  Most countries are quite reasonable though.
